Safety

Health and safety is a key focus for DeNovo and as a company we strive for all of our work to be incident free. We refer to this goal as our “Work Toward Zero” policy, with the core concepts being:

  • All incidents are preventable
  • A safe workforce  is our greatest asset
  • A safe company is a competitive company
  • Safety is everyone’s job

As a growing leader in the industry, DeNovo understands that challenges may occur as work sites change and we are prepared to meet those challenges head-on. The DeNovo health and safety program is used to prevent accidents and personal injury through company-wide adherence to safe procedures and protective measures. We have developed a comprehensive Corporate Health and Safety Manual (HASM) identifying specific guidelines, preventive measures, and methods of implementation. We address individual project concerns in a Site Specific Health and Safety Plan which is drafted for each project and is updated or amended as situations change on the site. All DeNovo personnel are trained and instructed for the tasks they are to perform, with much of our training conducted at individual job sites allowing us to tailor the material specifically to project needs. DeNovo also utilizes behavior based safety techniques which includes identifying, measuring, and analyzing behaviors, then working to change and monitor those behaviors found to be unsafe.

DeNovo operations and safety management perform periodic inspections and comprehensive audits of all job sites and use these results to correct any deficiencies and improve our overall programs as needed. DeNovo maintains all of our policies in compliance with applicable OSHA, DOT and EPA regulations and we continually strive to enhance ourselves and our community as we Work Toward Zero.
